This Royal Daulton England Lidded Tobacco Jar features horses grazing in a meadow and a saying in the inner trim "He who will calmly smoke, will think like a sage, and act like a samaritan."

The inner rim has a chip and the upper portion of the jar had a large piece broken off and fixed (see photos).

It measures 8 1/2" to top of lid, top is 5 1/2"W, bottom is 4"W.
