OF SPECIAL NOTE:
* 1.25"-1.5" repair on lip
* 1/2" x 1/4" chip on base
* Arch shaped, repaired crack on one side across handle base
Seeing this fine piece of artistic beauty was a pleasant surprise because of the extensive enameling detail and artistic merit. Imagine our chagrin when upon close examination it was discovered that the integrity of the piece is compromised by chips and by an arch- shaped crack which travels up, arches over, and then down an area which includes the bottom tip of a handle, a total estimated length of 8-9". Though not evident without closely looking, we are noting it so you're aware.
In spite of having been through trying times, this piece will make an impressive display. No artist signature was found, no maker's signature was discovered. Age/era of production unknown.
