The set screen originally belongs to famous philanthropist Lily Bishop, whose family was immangrant from England in 1854. Her grandparents were in Cleveland, Ohio, and there her grandfather established multiple business interests that contributed to his amassing a sizeable fortune. Lillian (Patty) H. Huntington, and Edward E. (Ned) Bishop married in 1914 and settled in Bradenton. They made generous and impactful gifts, anonymously when possible, to many of the organizations and institutions in the area today.  After Lillian died, most of her collections were given to the museum, and a small part of the collection was on the market. The screen is one of them. Ellerikutz and Spanierman once wanted to buy this collection for their exhibition hall : Spanierman Gallery. Mr. Spanierman is a collection expert in the field of American art in New York City. The Spanierman Gallery of American Traditional Art creates an opportunity for collectors and curators in the United States to purchase any selected works through leading figures in the art world.

This screen is made of fine wood hollow carving. Its hollow carving pattern is grapes. Grapes represent many children and many blessings and the embroidery inside is Chaozhou embroidery. This is embroidered with gold and silver thread. This screen is mainly embroidered with a hundred birds and phoenixes, which are lifelike and exquisite. This is a fine product exported to European countries in the Qing Dynasty.

original price is 18000, now the price 9800.
