Pickup DetailsThe pick-up date is scheduled for Thursday, December 21st from 10am-5pm at the garage. If you are a winner of an item, you will receive an email at the conclusion of the auction around 8:30pm. Greetings and Happy Holidays! Join us for a unique online auction from a former mechanics garage and fueling station in the heart of Erie.
The garage went under a complete restoration, taking four years to complete, most recently winning a historic restoration award.
You will find a diverse collection of awesome offerings that were original to the garage or from the owners personal collection from home….too many awesome collectibles and not enough floor/wall space to display.
If you are on the lookout for a unique, one of a kind gift for that special someone, even if that special someone is yourself, look no further. There’s an Erie vibe running thru quite a few of the offerings, as you can see, each telling its own story.
Personally, I like getting a unique or retro gift…something you won’t find at a big box store. The online auction is hosted at estatesales.net where you can get in on the bidding action. If you hadn't already done so, you'll need to sign-up for a simple account on estatesales.net to actively bid.
Your account will allow you to participate in any future online auctions going forward. -Bidding Process
The online auction bidding on estatesales.net is a "hard close" process, similar to Ebay, as opposed to a "soft close" process used by other online auction platforms, which extends the time if there is active bidding towards the end. There is no time extension using this particular platform.
The bidding ends when the allotted time for each item expires, which is displayed under each item. Also, entering a maximum "max" bid doesn't necessarily mean you will pay your maximum bid. The system will automatically keep bidding on your behalf against other bidders up to your placed "max" bid for convenience purposes.
-Bidding Example
You are bidding on a lamp and place a max bid of $58.00 towards the end of the auction. The auction ends on the item and you win the item for $39.00. This means the next highest bidder had a high bid of $38.00, however you were willing to go up to $58.00. Your maximum bid doesn’t automatically jump to that amount when you place the bid. The bid only is increased if there are other bidders actively bidding on the item. Your maximum bids are hidden from other bidders, essentially creating a level playing field.
