This print is over 300 years old! It was created by a Dutch botanist and botanical artist Abraham Munting, 1626-1683, from a latin edition of his works, called Phytographia Curiosa, based on previous releases created during his lifetime in 1672 and 1682. The prints of this 1702 edition were much more simplistic compared to the illustrations of the more well known 1696 release. We have another print of his from this 1696 edition, under B43. They are both beautifully matted and framed in silver tone matching frames. A plate impression is visible in both, but less prominent in this one.
