This oil painting reproduction of Claude Monet's 1904 impressionist work "Water Lilies" (French: Nymphéas) is from a series of approximately 250 oil paintings. The series depicts the water lily pond in the flower garden at his home in Giverny, France, and was the main focus of his artistic work during the last 31 years of his life. Monet was a skilled horticulturalist and designed the garden himself, which became his primary source of inspiration.

Monet's paintings in this series are known for their emphasis on the momentary effects of sunlight on the water's surface, as well as the reflections of the sky and surrounding trees. The artist moved away from traditional landscapes with a defined horizon, instead focusing on the surface of the pond, creating an immersive experience for the viewer.

A significant number of these paintings are on display at the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris, which houses eight large compositions that Monet donated to the French state after World War I. Other works from the series can be found in museums around the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
