Edition: A unique work. Executed by Kvapil in 1926. Very Rare.

Translation: Naked Duets

Kvapil is best known as a painter of figures, particularly for his depictions of buxom
nudes. He was influenced by Fauvism and Cubism. Paul Cezanne and Matisse to some
extent (as colorists) also influenced his style. This painting has different titles: Deux
Nues can also be translated as Two Nudes. The other title, Les Baigneuses is
translated as The Bathers.
